For materialising virtual objects alongside 3D printing, which is considered to be waste-free production technology, we also use milling where the products are formed from the production blank.
For milling, we are using 3 and 5 + 1 axis milling machines (CNC), which allow complex geometry mill products from blanks with a maximum length, depending on the machine type can be up to 1200 mm and a diameter of 450 mm. 5 + 1 axis milling software provides significantly more opportunities for the production of complex geometry products than 3-axis equipment.
Milling can be done with a wide range of materials including different metals (titanium, steel, aluminium, brass, copper, magnesium, etc.), marble, wood, and plastic (ABS, acrylic, polycarbonate, nylon, etc.) and foams.
