Our CEO is starting a series on the biggest misconceptions our team hears from clients — ideas that are deeply imprinted in their minds when they think about 3D printing.
Misconception 1: “3D printing is slow.”
We hear this all the time.
But here is the truth:
Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is not about printing one part, it is about printing dozens of parts – sometimes hundreds – in a single print run.
Just think about it:
- One part with FDM = hours
- One build with MJF = an entire tray of parts, overnight
What this means is:
- Functional prototypes in days vs weeks
- Small batch production without tooling
- Speed that can match or quite often exceed traditional speeds.
So instead of asking “is 3D printing slow?”, ask: “How much faster could your team be if you had access to 50 parts tomorrow vs months of waiting?”
