3D Printing as Craftsmanship: Why Details Matter Most

We are capable of reproducing highly realistic detail, whether it is an architectural model, a historic object, a dinosaur, or a customized action figure. (The action figure in the picture is based on our CEO.)

Using SLA and DLP technology, we create printed objects with a level of precision that is much greater than traditional 3D printing methods.

Seeing a hair as a solid object is not helpful, however, being able to see each individual hair is. Seeing clothing as something simple does not do justice to the way that clothing actually looks; that is, the wrinkle, fold, and texture of clothing are critical elements to the overall impression of what the clothing actually is.

Every detail is important – it is details that make people think of a model as a realistic representation of something.

With regards to:

– architectural models

– museum-quality replicas

– collectible figures

– fully individualized action figures

SLA and DLP technologies allow for detailed, high-resolution prints that are attractive enough to be looked at closely, not just from a distance, but up close.

This is what allows #3Dprinting to be considered a form of craftsmanship.
