What can you do if a vital part is broken and no one is selling it?

One of our customers learned the hard way: a single part broke and there were no spare parts, no drawings, or parts suppliers available. With only a stack of broken pieces left, production was at a standstill.

Then, they made a trip to our facility.

From the scanned part, our team created a CAD model (geometry), corrected for damage, printed, and validated a full batch of 30 replacement parts in #PA12 (to validated dimensions). All parts were ready for installation – taking only 5 days from the initial breakage to having new parts ready for replacement.

Just because a product is no longer made does not mean it cannot be manufactured. Using 3D scanning and additive manufacturing, the physical part becomes the documentation, allowing us to build the part from that alone.
