April 24th – 28th, 2017 Smart Factory team visited the exhibition Hannover 2017 which includes all key technologies and core areas of industry – from research and development, industrial automation, IT, industrial supply, production technologies and services to energy and mobility technologies. The organizers proposed to take advantage of all synergies that Hannover 2017 exhibition has to offer and to participate in hotspot for global industry.

The lead theme of Hannover 2017 conveys a clear message: the trial phase is over and integrated industry has begun to pay dividends. What value-added benefits are available to your company? How can cobots, digital twins and predictive maintenance be deployed profitably? Answers to these questions were found at Hannover 2017 which unites all the core areas of industry – R&D, Automation and IT, Industrial Supply, Production Technology and Services as well as Energy and Mobility Technology. With over 500 concrete examples of Industrie 4.0, Hannover 2017 shows how quickly factories are going digital. In 2017, the huge potential of Industrie 4.0 will be even easier to grasp: visitors could expect a vast number of actual “use and business cases”. In addition, more than 30 international events relating to Industrie 4.0 took place in Hannover 2017.

During the exhibition there was a possibility to make more than 5.6 million business contacts from all over the world and the exhibition was attended by more than 6,500 exhibitors. Smart Factory introduced to the exhibitors all provided services: reverse engineering, 3D scanning, 3D modelling, 3D printing, and Measurements and Quality Control laboratory’s benefits. Exhibitors were delighted with the available equipment, high quality services and especially advantages of Industrial Micro-Computed Tomography (μCT). Also in this business trip Smart Factory team visited several partners located in Germany.
